Q: How long do they burn?
A: 12oz candles burn for 90 hours. 8oz candles burn for 50 hours. 2.5oz mini candles burn for 20 hours. Burn time depends on how often you light it and how long each session lasts. We recommend 3-4 hour burns to maximize life and scent.

Q: Do you have unscented candles?
A: Not currently, but we hear you. Our scents are intentionally subtle — designed to be calming, not overwhelming. If you're sensitive to fragrance, try lighting in a larger room or for shorter 1-2 hour sessions. Reach out if you'd like to chat about options.

Q: What's the deal with the wooden wick?
A: The wooden wick crackles gently when lit — it's a small ritual detail that slows you down. That sound, that warmth, that moment of pause — that's what Ines is about. Plus, it burns cleaner and longer than cotton.

Q: How do I get the best burn from my candle?
A: Trim the wick to 1/4 inch before each light. Burn for 3-4 hours the first time to let the wax pool evenly (prevents tunneling). Use in a space without drafts. Don't burn longer than 4 hours at a time. Let it cool between burns so the wax can reset.

Q: Will my candle tunnel?
A: Not if you follow the first burn rule. Let that wax melt all the way to the edges the first time — this sets the memory for every burn after. Skip this step, and the candle burns down the middle, wasting the beautiful wax around the edges.

Q: Why is there soot on my candle glass?
A: A little soot is normal (it's just carbon), but too much means the wick is too long or there's a draft nearby. Trim the wick to 1/4 inch and keep the candle away from fans or open windows.

Q: How do I know when to stop burning it?
A: Stop when there's about 1/2 inch of wax left at the bottom. Burning all the way down risks overheating the container. When you're done, let it cool and repurpose the glass — it's yours to keep.

A mass-produced candle costs $15 because it's made in bulk with cheaper materials. An Ines candle costs more because it's made for you — with the same care my grandmother brought to her home.
